This month's personal challenge is to post daily as part of the Nablowrimo via Blogher. So far I've definately increased my posts though not using every prompt provided. Have you been keeping up? Hopefully you get a chuckle out of this post.
The prompt I am writing about today asked, If I had the skill what product would I invent? Ooh goody, I got this. If possible I would invent a Hovercraft to relieve people from struggling with daily traffic. A little known fact about me is driving is not my fortay. I would have no problem with employing a daily personal car service. Extended car drives make me batty. Inner city traffic, long distance drives, no matter I will pass on driving whenever the chance presents itself.
As a child of the 80's this idea probably was influenced by too many repeat viewings of Star Trek, Back to the Future, Star Wars and of course The Jetson's. The idea of moving through time and space as one desires is fascinating don't you think?
So in order to speed up the AM kiddie drop off I'd love to invent a hovercraft dropoff machine. You know that flying thingy the Jetson's used to drop off Elroy at school? I imagine people zooming around with little ones being gently dropped to school, appointments or anywhere else necessary.
Ok, work with me here I haven't got a better name for this transportation device at this point but you get my point right?
Getting the family where everyone needs to be can easily eat up precious AM minutes. AM traffic congestion around our town can easily add an 30 extra minutes to my usual 20 minute trek to/from Little Miss's school.
Recently there was a major injury accident just outside our apartment home on the main cross street. The traffic back up and police activity took 4 hours to clear up. You read that correctly. I wasn't able to return home for the duration of the morning. It was terrible.
Inventing a hovercraft dropoff machine would allow me to fly over traffic, drop off the little one without exiting the hovercraft and continue about my day. Not bad right? It worked for the Jetsons. 😉
What invention would you dream up to improve daily life?
