1. When did you first start blogging?
During my corporate days we had an internal Wiki and I began writing on productivity and sharing professional tidbits with administrator's and our Executive Team. Writing has been a part of me all my life. When I started my micro-biz I began blogging on my business website about 2013.
2. What inspires you to keep blogging?
I'm a people person and love reading, hearing and sharing stories. Blogging is a personal and professional journey and I've been grateful to meet some inspiring women already along the way. It's addictive! Writing via a blog is challenging, I love a great challenge. This avenue of creativity keeps me learning, networking, and growing.
3. How would you describe your personal style?
Personal style for me is simple, chic with a splash of diva. Somehow animal prints always end up in my wardrobe. I love lots of accessories, dangly earrings, scarves, and such. Coral is my red so I have several pieces of clothing in this color. Quality pieces that are interchangeable allow me to stay polished without all the fuss make life a breeze for me. My shoe game is lacking, I am still catching up from pregnancy and being a homebody while breastfeeding, but any comfy and stylish flat or wedge makes me happy.
4. What color describes your personality?
Well according to fun online test YELLOW. It's funny because that was the color of my first bike as a child. Here are the details of the test. Take your own and let me know how you do!! http://www.doctoroz.com/quiz/quiz-what-color-your-personality
You have a yellow personality! Yellows are independent, creative thinkers who use their imaginations to devise innovative ways of accomplishing tasks or improving existing things. They're not hesitant to challenge the status quo or authority. People with yellow personalities tend to have tension headaches. These are caused by feeling out of control, something that yellows often feel from their drive to lead and inner pressure to generate new ideas.
5. When you listen to music, what is your go-to?
I love Nina Simon station on Pandora. When writing or working it's Esperanza Spalding.
6. What is the one food you cannot live without?
This is easy…dark chocolate. It makes me happy.
7. If you had a $1,000 shopping spree to use at your favorite store, where would you choose?
I'm am of the thrifty kind so would hit up the 5 best thrift shops in and around town. Finding cool deals on kid clothes and things for myself in these shops is a favorite pastime.
8. When you were a kid, what were you convinced would be your career?
I've always been a dreamer and muser. In the 6th grade during a recess break while sitting at the top of a play structure I distinctly recall saying, "I want to be a teacher". I remember having a feeling of needing to make a difference and effect change.
9. What chore is your least favorite?
I loathe doing bathrooms. It doesn't matter what supplies or green cleaning solution you give me. Hate it! Often I will keep the lights off and scrub and swish away. This keeps me from seeing how icky things are. We have guys in the house so, um yeah…
10. Do you have any vacations planned for the year or have you already taken one?
Hawaii is where we celebrated our 10 year anniversary. It was in one word, DIVINE. Travel is something I put on my vision board for 2015 and beyond. And whenever im stressed or during labor I visualized blue waters and skies, and beautiful sandy beaches. Well I finally got there!! We had a fun trip!
So there you have it! Since this is a "tag" post I'll add 3 other bloggers.
