"I believe in the possibilities of change" – Cheryl Wood
Cheryl Wood proved to be a passionate mom of three, down to earth, and award-winning entrepreneur and was a keynote speaker for Day 2. She woke up the audience with a message of living fearlessly and the importance of hard work.
Her life-changing experiences provided principles of FEARLESS living that could not be denied. Leaning in and making every effort to not miss a moment it was clear Cheryl meant business and wanted us to be moved to action. This session left me feeling full of reason and permission to continue to strive and move forward.
After the session when bumping into Cheryl she was gracious and sweet. And unbeknowst to many a "selfie expert". She was truly a pleasure!
It was clear Cheryl lived life with joy and intention. She shared her triumps and surprises along the way. Family life and personal passions didn't stop Cheryl in her tracks.
Her personal "shift" took her from selling logo teeshirts to running a 6-figure coaching business. She shared that moment in time when thinking BIG and moving into action was necessary to propel her forward. She spoke of her first self-hosted conference, the fear of failing and the elated feelings when all was a success.
Can you think of a moment like this? As she spoke a few came to my mind. This session really gave great fuel to get focused and reset goals for 2015.
As I read over my notes a few goals came to mind:
1) Live daily with joy and intention
2) Enjoy my children and nurture their gifts
3) Build my blog and business
4) Stop apologizing
5) Trust my intuition. It's a God given gift!
What is on your goal list for 2015? Any mindset shifts you plan to action? Do share in the comments! I'm listening…ok back the conference. 🙂
The day buzzed on with Workshops like Geeky is the New Sexy – Tools to Help You Conquer Social Media and Traffic! Mommyweek blogger and consultant Ashley Marshall Seward shared her proven tips for driving traffic online. Her session attendees had several questions and really made this a lively hour discussion.
Special appearance by Actor|Educator|Activist Lamann Rucker was a highlight of the afternoon. Many were able to hear of his latest projects and take pictures. Having missed this session the review from others told me it was definately a great time.
Each day of the conference featured sessions called bLink Bar where a specific tool or strategy for boosting blog success was discussed by an expert blogger or social influencer. Day 2 session MAKE IT: 3 steps to creating sweeter DIY blog posts gave pointers on how to add spice to a blog.
The session host @beatriceclay was truly creative and inspiring. Attendees left this session with new apps for better pictures such as Vscocam and Snapseed. These apps were not in my arsenal so I truly appreciated the insider tips. And don't we LOVE the latest apps to improve productivity and picture quality on our phones? All in favor say, "I".
These highlights are only a sampling of what this conference offered.
xoxo,
Jenelle
