Parenthood, health, and life in general has challenged me to hold many roles and go through ever changing seasons. After speaking with friends, colleagues, and acquaintances it seemed this was a common issue for other thirty plus women. Sometimes we need to be reminded we aren't alone in this thing called life.
My goal is to make this blog a place of positivity, discovery, and encouragement. It will also serve as a reminder to keep growing and moving forward no matter what life brings your way.
This blog will be perfectly imperfect because well, life is.

Who am I
I am a city girl with southern roots, born and raised in Northern CA. Bay Area has been home all my life. For 7 years I raised my son solo then found love, then lost it again. Having a blended family had its peaks and valleys, but at the end of the day we made it work.
Family is a priority for me when hubby and I were pregnant we decided it was best for me to quit the day job. It's been 5 years since I traded in pumps and a laptop bag for skinny jeans and flats. I’ve always found a way to balance my professional and personal life. This delicate dance lead me to begin building an environment where I could be more available to my family. Deciding to become a one income family lead to a new journey of rediscovering my creative side, writing, and networking online with others doing similar things.
What I Do
As Mom in Chief you can find me harnessing my skills in, professional juggling, a taxi, master idea creator, and many other things. My calendar stays full! Daily I balance launching an 18 yr old son (Sir J), a 5 yr old girl (Little Miss), and my consulting business. At thirty plus it feels good to know life is not one big emergency, my "why" is to build legacy. My mottos are take things a day at a time, and patience is a virtue.
Being a parent means constantly stretching a dollar. Finding and cooking healthy food for my family keeps me on Pinterest and Thrive Market. When it comes to beauty products I love essential oils, DIY scrubs, DIY hair creams, and DIY hair moisture spritz. When I first decided to keep my hair chemical free there wasn't much on the market but that has definately changed! So I am a self-professed product hoarder and kitchen mixtress.
Trying out natural products and services which help me create the healthiest environment I can for my family is important to me.
My camp (aka the fam)
Having children 13 years apart has been quite the adventure. Now that everyone is growing and getting more independent it's been a joy to find new ways to keep the family connected. Keeping technology, work and other activities in their place so we can bond as a family is a daily task. We are finding our way.
